Nicknames: Joey? I don’t have a cool one…I suck.

Every day at CrossFit sticks out in my mind!  Training with good friends and hitting PR’s are always memorable!  I will say it was pretty awesome doing Barbells for Boobs with my wife as my partner!

I started CrossFit after getting bored of going to the gym and getting on whatever machine was open and doing 3 sets of 10 here, 3 sets of 10 there, etc.  My first WOD was a strength day of overhead squats….and I had NO idea what I was doing!  I did Cindy the next day.  I saw the WOD and thought, “This is going to be easy!”  I think I died.  I spent half of the workout lying on the floor trying not to puke and pass out.  I was hooked!!  It’s amazing to see where I began and compare it to where I am now, both in AND out of the gym.  CrossFit molds people physically, mentally, and spiritually.  It changes lives!
